To be fair this isn't entirely NI's fault, most plugin developers these days go their own way with preset formats (I think this is a response to the generally poor support for presets in DAWS) so it would be impossible for NI to come up with a way to batch import from all the myriad proprietary formats out there (btw this is just as much a problem for alternative solutions like AKAI - where they have got presets into it, someone, even if it is the company itself, has invested the time to do that 1 by 1). If you also want to import presets then that mapped version can also serve as a template for others, BUT, yes, the downside is there is no batch import.
